Our volunteers are invaluable to the success of our organization. Volunteers are not only here to donate their time and talent; their presence in a young person’s life is profound. You can volunteer for as little as one hour per year, or as often as once a day. All it takes is one positive interaction with a child or teen to make a lasting connection.
Boys & Girls Clubs of South San Luis Obispo County is careful in selecting the volunteers to work inside our blue doors. We take our responsibility to serve our children very seriously. All of our volunteers undergo a thorough screening process.

Volunteer Opportunity List
- Program Volunteer
Program volunteers work directly with kids in a variety of program areas – from mentoring young people in our SMART Girls and Wise Guys programs, teaching guitar, tutoring a student - Leadership Team Volunteer
Leadership team volunteers assist with our Torch Club and Keystone Club leadership and community service teams - Special Events
Special event volunteers provide the people-power we need to organize, set up, and staff our fundraisers and celebrations throughout the year
