Rebecca, Executive Director
Rebecca, a Central Coast native, has been a dedicated leader at the Boys & Girls Clubs of South San Luis Obispo County for nearly two decades. With a deep commitment to giving back, she has spent her career creating opportunities for youth and strengthening the community she calls home.
When she’s not working, Rebecca enjoys spending quality time with her family and cherishing the strong connections that make the Central Coast such a special place. Her passion for making a positive impact continues to guide her work as she leads the Club in its mission to serve and inspire local youth. |

Mike, Operations Director
Originally from Los Angeles, Mike earned his degree in Communications from California State University, Northridge. After moving to the Five Cities area three years ago, he quickly embraced the community and hasn’t looked back since. Known for his humor, kindness, and down-to-earth personality, Mike brings positive energy and enthusiasm to his role at the Boys & Girls Clubs of South San Luis Obispo County.
His favorite foods include pizza, BBQ, and sushi—just thinking about them makes him hungry! In his free time, Mike enjoys playing video games, traveling to new places, and staying active through boxing. Mike loves being part of the Boys & Girls Club because of the strong team dynamic and shared passion for serving and supporting local youth. |

Elizabeth, Program Director
Elizabeth brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a deep passion for community to her role at the Boys & Girls Clubs of South San Luis Obispo County. Known for her love of Halloween, which she enjoys celebrating year-round, Elizabeth also takes joy in gardening and expressing herself through art and fashion. She can often be found at various Club sites, guiding youth and staff with a unique balance of care, professionalism, and lighthearted fun.
Her favorite local spots include Deltina Coffee, Jaffa Café, and Chacho’s. Supporting small businesses is something Elizabeth values, especially as a vegetarian who appreciates the personalized service and flexibility often found in local establishments. Having grown up in the same community she now serves, Elizabeth is passionate about giving back and making a lasting difference. One of her greatest joys is watching the youth she once taught in preschool grow and thrive in the Club’s programs. Dedicated to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging environment, Elizabeth loves working with children of all ages and helping them reach their full potential. |

Amber, Executive Assistant
Amber was born in Redwood City, California, and spent her early childhood in Placerville. From kindergarten through third grade, she was frequently surrounded by other school-aged children, as her mother volunteered extensively. During this time, Amber developed a love for connection and community, enjoying the opportunity to play, learn, and grow alongside others. Each year, Amber and her family spent holidays and summers in the Pismo Beach area at her grandmother’s home. These visits quickly became some of her most cherished memories, filled with time at the beach boogie boarding with her brother, cousin, and parents. In 2009, her family made the move to Pismo Beach permanently, where Amber continued to stay closely involved with school communities beyond regular hours. Today, Amber is deeply committed to caring for and supporting others in both her professional and personal life. She is passionate about lending a helping hand and finds great fulfillment in giving back to those who need it most. Serving others in meaningful ways is where Amber feels most comfortable, purposeful, and inspired. |

Soniya, Judkins Unit Coordinator
With a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in English Literature, Soniya, brings a wealth of academic and literary expertise. She is the author of Women in Tagore’s Novels and previously served as an associate professor at KSNK College in Gujarat, India. In addition to teaching, Soniya, has written and published articles, research papers, stories, and poems in both English and Gujarati, her native language.
A passionate lifelong learner, she enjoys reading, listening to music, traveling, and connecting with friends. Her diverse talents include formal training in the tabla and violin during her college years. Having relocated to the U.S. in 2018, Soniya continues to embrace life with resilience and positivity, earning the admiration of her friends and family as a proud cancer survivor. Fluent in English, Gujarati, and Hindi, and familiar with several other Indian languages, Soniya is dedicated to sharing her knowledge, culture, and story with others. |

Marin, Fairgrove Unit Coordinator
Marin grew up in Orcutt, just a few miles from Five Cities, and moved to Shell Beach in the summer of 2024, where she enjoys living close to the ocean. As an only child, Marin has always marched to the beat of her own drum and developed a passion for being around and caring for other kids. She began babysitting at the age of 14 and continues to do so in her spare time. Currently, Marin is close to completing her Associate’s Degree in Psychology and plans to pursue a degree in Business Management. When she’s not studying or working, she loves indulging in an iced matcha latte with a shot of espresso or a classic Coca-Cola. Her favorite local spot to eat is Mr. Pickles in San Luis Obispo—she’s especially fond of their Dutch crunch bread. Marin joined the Boys & Girls Club to find her niche and discovered a community she never knew she needed. She’s passionate about serving the community and creating a safe, welcoming space for youth to thrive. |

Emily, Shell Beach Unit Coordinator
Emily is a proud product of the Lucia Mar Unified School District and now serves the very community that helped shape her. A true local, she spent her school years playing basketball, swimming, competing in water polo, and participating in FFA. She later earned her B.A. in Psychology from Sonoma State University and brings a strong sense of dedication and energy to her work with youth. Outside of the Club, Emily enjoys swimming, running, and spending time with her close-knit family. She feels lucky to live in a place where drive-in movies and beach bonfires are still part of everyday life. With deep roots in the area and a genuine passion for giving back, Emily is a natural fit for the Boys & Girls Club, where she’s excited to help create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for all. |

Kennedy, Oceano Unit Coordinator
Kennedy is nearing completion of the first part of her Early Childhood Studies degree and plans to transfer to a university to earn her Bachelor's. With a passion for working with youth, Kennedy brings extensive experience from growing up with eight siblings, including three younger than her. She is dedicated to helping children thrive by fostering a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. Kennedy is inspired by the mission of the Boys & Girls Club of South San Luis Obispo County, which focuses on empowering and including all youth to become the best versions of themselves while building meaningful connections and having fun. Outside of work and her studies, Kennedy enjoys spending time at the beach, hiking scenic trails, and discovering new music. She also loves exploring local concerts, coffee shops, bakeries, and eateries. Kennedy joined the Boys & Girls Club to provide a safe, welcoming space for youth and to serve as a trusted mentor. She remains committed to this mission every day, working hard to make a positive impact on the community. |

Katy, Grover Heights Unit Coordinator
Katy is a proud mom of two whose life is filled with the love and laughter of her children and her beloved cat. Born and raised in Santa Maria, she has deep roots in the Central Coast community and a special appreciation for its beauty and charm. Katy has a passion for cooking, often experimenting with new recipes and creating meals that bring people together. Her kitchen is a gathering place where family and friends can share stories, laughter, and, of course, something delicious to eat. On weekends, Katy can almost always be found at the beach, where she enjoys soaking up the sun, listening to the waves, and making memories with her kids. Whether she’s exploring tide pools, building sandcastles, or simply enjoying a quiet moment by the water, the ocean is her happy place. Katy’s warm heart, nurturing spirit, and love for simple joys make her an inspiring and cherished part of our team. |

Anthony, Unit Coordinator
Anthony a dedicated Boys & Girls Club staff member born and raised on the Central Coast. He attended Harloe Elementary School, where his early experiences in a recreational after-school program sparked a lasting interest in working with youth. Anthony continued his middle school and high school education within the Lucia Mar Unified School District before earning his Associate’s Degree from Allan Hancock College. It was there that he discovered a passion for History, which led him to pursue further studies at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He graduated in the summer of 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Leadership and instruction have always come naturally to Anthony. Since joining the Boys & Girls Clubs of South San Luis Obispo County in January 2024, he has continued to strengthen his skills and deepen his commitment to supporting young people. His work has also reinspired him to pursue his goal of becoming a single-subject History teacher, allowing him to make a lasting impact both in and beyond the classroom. |

Tiffany, Assistant Unit Coordinator
I’ve been part of the Boys & Girls Club family since I was a youth member. Growing up, I loved coming to the Club because of all the fun activities and the amazing staff who supported and inspired me. Now, I’m excited to give back by being that same positive role model for the next generation. When I’m not at the Club, you’ll probably find me enjoying boba, iced coffee, or anything Oreo-flavored. I’m also a big fan of Mexican food, chicken Alfredo pasta, and, most importantly—chicken! I’m thrilled to be part of this incredible program and look forward to making a difference and seeing where this journey takes me. Thanks for being part of it! |

Yarely, Assistant Unit Coordinator
Yarely was born and raised in Santa Maria, California, where a strong sense of community, deep family ties, and the natural beauty of the Central Coast shaped her values from an early age. Spending much of her time in nearby Pismo Beach, she developed a lifelong love for the ocean and the peace, clarity, and energy it brings. As one of five siblings, she grew up in a vibrant, fast-paced household that taught her the importance of patience, teamwork, and compassion. These early lessons sparked her passion for working with youth and fueled her commitment to being a positive, reliable role model. Known for her high energy, strong work ethic, and consistently positive attitude, she approaches every opportunity—whether mentoring, leading, or listening—with the goal of uplifting and empowering the next generation. She firmly believes that every young person deserves guidance, encouragement, and someone who believes in their potential—and she is proud to be that person in their lives. |

Born and raised in Lemoore as the youngest of five brothers, Anthony developed both a strong competitive spirit and a laid-back sense of humor. Outside of the kitchen, where he enjoys experimenting with new recipes, he can often be found exploring the outdoors—hiking scenic trails or playing a round of golf. He also enjoys unwinding with video games, diving into new worlds and challenges. Growing up in a small town gave him a grounded perspective, and he continues to carry the values of adventure, camaraderie, and exploration into everything he does. |

Chisom, Assistant Unit Coordinator
Chisom is a dedicated college student who is passionate about working with and supporting youth at the Boys & Girls Clubs. She has a strong heart for giving back and has participated in multiple mission trips, helping serve and uplift communities around the world. In her free time, Chisom enjoys traveling and exploring new places, as well as cooking and trying new experiences. She is deeply committed to being a positive role model and strives to make a meaningful, lasting impact in the lives of the youth she serves. |
