Bank of America Gives $10,000 for CareerLaunch
On September 8th, Bank of America presented the Boys & Girls Clubs of South San Luis Obispo County with a check for $10,000. The funds donated are in support of the Oceano Teen Center’s job readiness program, CareerLaunch. CareerLaunch encourages Club members ages 13 to 18 to assess their skills and interests, explore careers, make sound educational decisions and prepare to join our nation's work force. Club staff and volunteers from Bank of America work with teens individually and in small groups to build their job-search skills and job readiness. The program provides Club teens with career exploration, college and job search information and interactive activities. CareerLaunch also features mentoring, job shadowing and training opportunities.
